Research Area: Novel Fabrication Methods for Catalysis
In our group, the technique of atomic layer deposition (ALD) is being investigated as an atomically-controlled synthesis method for electrocatalysts and heterogeneous catalyst systems. We are studying ALD as a fabrication method to form electrocatalysts for water splitting reactions, using earth abundant materials such as MnOx or NiOx. We also use ALD in fundamental studies of supported metal catalysts for syngas conversion to fuels and other chemical conversion reactions.
