Congratulations, Axel!

Congratulations to Axel, who successfully defended his thesis in November. His work focused on engineering high-efficiency perovskite solar cells, incorporating metal oxide layers made via atomic layer deposition (ALD). Many of his devices have pushed the limits of perovskite solar cell technology, particularly in tandem device architectures, and together with collaborators he was able to make perovskite devices that broke the world record for efficiency! His work has been published in Nature Energy, and moving forwards he will be continuing his research as a postdoc at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Boulder, CO. We wish you the best in this next chapter and in your future endeavors!
